As part of its annual meeting and in conjunction with CoastWalk and local marine debris cleanups, the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies holds an opening of a Marine Debris Art Show at its offices at 708 Smokey Bay Way near Ulmer's. Artists were invited to submit works of art made from marine debris found on Kachemak Bay beaches. The show and annual meeting opens at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27 with a potluck dinner.
