Homer News

Buccaneer Alaska will hold two community outreach meetings in Homer next week at these times and places:

• 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, Best Western Bidarka Inn

• 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, McNeil Canyon School Gym

Mark Landt, vice-president of Buccaneer Alaska, will give a presentation on its current operations on the lower Kenai Peninsula and in lower Cook Inlet at its West Eagle project site off Basargin Road and the Cosmopolitan project site offshore on the east side of Cook Inlet and north of Anchor Point. He also will take questions from anyone attending, the company said in a press release.

"As part of its ongoing efforts to communicate with the citizens of Homer and engage in an open dialogue on both current and future operations, Buccaneer Alaska would like to invite all members of the community to attend one of the two initial outreach meetings," the company said in a press release. "Buccaneer considers itself to be a corporate citizen of the state of Alaska and a member of the local community, and as such would like to make sure the community is well informed about our upcoming projects."

Refreshments will be served and informational materials will be available. For more information, contact Christina Anderson, Buccaneer's Alaska representative, at (855) 865-2298.
