A 44-year-old man at 4:15 p.m. turned himself in on a warrant for his arrest. A man at 11:18 p.m. reported hearing screaming in the Wright Street and Noview Avenue area. Police responded. A person at 11:34 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Mattox Street apartment. Police responded and took a person to South Peninsula Hospital. Oct. 9 A caller at 2:48 a.m. reported a man would not leave an Early Spring Street home. Police responded and issued a trespass notice to the man. A caller at 8:56 a.m. reported an aggressive driver heading north on the Sterling Highway near Baycrest Hill. A man at 9:09 a.m. reported losing a plastic pouch with identification in it. A man at 4:10 p.m. turned in a pistol found under a tree outside the Homer Public Library. A caller at 4:13 p.m. reported people in a car littering on Forest Glen Drive. Police tried to contact the registered owner of the car. A man at 5:58 p.m. reported a driver in a black Chevrolet step side pickup truck driving recklessly up East Hill Road. Police couldnt find the suspect driver. A woman at 8:30 p.m. reported a drunk man following her around near her trailer on the Spit. Police responded and took a 60-year-old man into protective custody. A man at 11:56 p.m. turned in a found wallet. Oct. 10 Police at 2:42 a.m. investigated a suspicious vehicle parked behind a local hotel. An employee at 2:30 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a Lake Street business. Police charged a 54-year-old woman with fourth-degree theft. A caller at 3:44 p.m. reported a violation of a restraining order. A woman at 5 p.m. reported an aggressive dog while walking on Mountain View Drive. A woman at 5:06 p.m. reported a man at her Early Spring Street door who had been issued a trespass notice earlier. Police arrested a 39-year-old man for trespassing. A woman at 5:38 p.m. reported a dog trailing a rope running down East End Road. A woman at 8:14 a.m. reported theft of money from a Main Street business. A woman at 2:25 p.m. asked police for assistance in a next-of-kin notification. Police at 6:18 p.m. warned a driver on East End Road for letting children ride in the back of an open pickup truck. A man at 9:10 p.m. reported finding a suspicious bag in a Spit Road parking lot. Oct. 12 A man at 2:13 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman. He didnt know where the woman was or where she stayed. Police tried to contact the woman by phone but couldnt reach her. Police at 8:15 a.m. provided an escort for the Homer High School football team. A man at 8:45 a.m. reported wildlife presenting a danger to pets in the Bell Avenue area. A man at 4:54 p.m. reported threats from another person. A caller at 5:47 p.m. reported a disturbance at an Ocean Drive apartment. Police at 10:34 p.m. issued a summons to a 33-year-old man for avoidance of an ignition interlock device. Police at 11:11 p.m. stopped a 49-year-old man driving on the Spit and issued him a summons for driving while license suspended. Oct. 13 A woman at 9:31 a.m. reported losing a dark blue backpack on the Spit. Police at 11:28 a.m. warned a man for trespassing near Mile 172 Sterling Highway. Troopers at 10:57 p.m. contacted a 21-year-old Homer woman during a traffic stop in Homer and arrested her for DUI. Police at 11:11 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers with a driving under the influence investigation on East End Road. Oct. 14 A person at 12:30 p.m. asked police for options regarding unwanted bank account access. A caller at 3:07 p.m. asked for options regarding how to issue a trespass notice to a person. A person at 9:07 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute at a Main Street apartment. Police responded and determined the dispute did not rise to the level of a crime. A caller at 10:06 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member. Police contacted the person who agreed to go to the hospital for a voluntary evaluation. Oct. 15 A caller at 8:09 a.m. asked for information regarding driving revocation. An officer advised the caller of conditions. A caller at 3:35 p.m. reported the road washing out near Mile 2 Homer Spit Road. Police contacted the Department of Transporation and Public Facilities. A caller at 3:50 p.m. reported a suspicious package. A caller at 5:35 p.m. reported drug information. Oct. 16 A woman at 10:17 a.m. reported theft of heating oil from an outdoor tank on Aspen Lane. A caller at 10:58 a.m. reported a reckless driver on the Sterling Highway. Police at 11:30 a.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers to be on the look out for a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle. A caller at noon reported a suspicious vehicle in a Sterling Highway parking lot. A caller at 1:20 p.m. reported a tree blocking the road at West Hill Road and Seascape Drive. A man at 4:37 p.m. reported receiving verbal threats by cell phone. Oct. 17 A caller at 5:56 a.m. reported an out-of-state crime. Police advised the caller to report the crime in that state.
