Of the $61 million allocated to University of Alaska, $3 million will go directly to Kachemak Bay Campus to expand our East Campus facility. Our community has sought funding for this purpose for more than 15 years. The funds will provide more than 9000 square feet in classroom and public space. We need your "yes" vote on Prop C on Nov. 5 to make this long-term goal a reality. This is finally our community's chance to consolidate and expand our campus at one location.
If we all vote yes on Proposition C, we will strengthen the role of our university campus and promote our community's economic and workforce development and quality of life. I am excited for us to have this opportunity to expand our local campus. If you need more information on Proposition C, please contact me, and I'll get that information in your hands ASAP!
