A Seattle barge company plans to begin twice-monthly service soon between Seattle and Homer's Deep Water Dock, carrying freight north and logs south.

Two bears move into Don Jose's Mexican Restaurant's Dumpsters nightly and occasionally keep people from leaving.

500 Homer-area voters discover that they were either deleted improperly from the voter registration rolls or put in the wrong precincts, some as far away as Kenai, according to a city official.
