Homer DDF team shines at meet

In the first tournament of the year, Homer High School's DDF -- Drama, Debate and Forensics Team -- made a name for itself at South High School in Anchorage Oct. 9-10.
Eighty-four students represented Chugiak, Service, Lumen Christi, South, Dimond, Nikiski, West Anchorage, Bartlett and Homer.
Following are results for the Homer students: Amelia Tyrer, second in solo acting; Adi Davis and Amelia Tyrer, third in duet acting; John Hannan and Lance Cowan, fourth in duet acting; Fallin Crauthers, Stephanie Blank and Casey Parret, fourth in Reader's Theatre; Lance Cowan, second in humorous interpretation; Emmet Meyer, third in humorous interpretation; Theo Noomah and Casey Parret, fourth in duo interpretation.
