A bomb threat on the M/V Tustumena called in by a boy on Sunday remains under investigation. Police and Alaska State Troopers went to the Pioneer Dock on the Homer Spit about 9:55 p.m. Oct. 9. No evacuation was ordered of the ferry and the Tustumena left on schedule. A caller identified as a young man by his voice told police dispatchers there was a bomb on the ferry and then hung up, Homer Police Chief Mark Robl said. The call came from outside Homer. If identified, the boy could be charged with terroristic threatening. Michael Armstrong can be reached at michael.armstrong@homernews.com.
