Homer resident Mr. Jack Crooke lost his battle with a seizure disorder caused by a childhood disease at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 8, 2011, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage. His mother and brother were with him as he died peacefully, smiling.

Jack grew up in Oregon. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Carrico; brother, Pete Crooke; mother of his three children, Terri Jordan; sons, Jayce and Joshua Crooke; daughter, Chelsea Crooke; cousin and best friend, Shannon Carrico; and grandfather, James Carrico.

Jack loved the outdoors and lived his final years in beautiful Kachemak Bay, Homer, near his mother and brother. He will be missed.
