A dedication and community celebration of Homer High School's new track planned for Sunday has been canceled, according to Bill Steyer, president of Kachemak Bay Running Club and coach of the HHS cross country team. The break in the rain forecast for Sunday will allow for striping, the final step in completing the track's surface. The dedication will be rescheduled for sometime in the future.
