Inspired by council meeting #1

Some things are better not left to the whims of choice. When scientific evidence both nationally and visible in our own backyard show that the result of plastic bags and other plastic degrading in the ocean and in the soil cause death to the fish and mammals who eat them, then we should act for the common good.

Does it really matter if we personally choose to do what is right? We should do it anyway. Bringing our own bag to the store is just a slight adjustment in behavior to conform to common sense and should not be an emotional reaction to being told what to do. Hopefully we left that behind when we reached the age of reason, which is said to be about 7 years old. This is the age at which children are considered able to know right from wrong.
