One of the cogent points of the documentary film Bully is that situations such as bullying are often ignored or whitewashed by a school, parents and community. How does this apply to our community? Would a drinking party in which Homer High School students participated in a gang rape be considered an egregious offense that warranted full disclosure and appropriate consequences, or a boys will be boys incident to hush up and bury beneath an unhealed and distorted veneer?
