A school official at 12:28 p.m. reported information on drugs at Homer High School. A caller at 2:38 p.m. reported a possible incident of domestic violence. A caller at 5:03 p.m. reported a missing juvenile. The child was found shortly after the call. A caller at 6:38 p.m. reported a man trespassing at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and found it was a case of mistaken identity. A woman at 6:54 p.m. reported her car was vandalized while parked on the Spit. A caller at 8:17 p.m. reported possible child abuse. Police responded. A caller at 9:20 p.m. made a report every dangerous driver immediately complaint of a suspect driver on the Sterling Highway. Police responded and stopped the driver. Police arrested a 50-year-old woman for driving under the influence. Sept. 19 A woman at 11:45 a.m. came to the police station with unknown remains. Police confirmed the remains were from a sea otter. A caller at 3:29 p.m. reported excessive use of air brakes by a truck on Kachemak Drive. A person at 9:16 p.m. made a 911 call of sounds of distress on Calhoun Court. Police contacted the subjects and found all was OK. Sept. 21 A woman at 11:30 a.m. reported a possible missing adult. A man at 4:30 p.m. reported a civil incident on Main Street. Police responded and issued trespass notices to people from a home. Police at 5:59 p.m. contacted a 51-year-old man on the Sterling Highway and arrested him on a warrant. A person at 10:46 p.m. made a 911 call of harassment. Police responded and advised several people on their options to resolve a civil dispute. Sept. 22 A Homer Animal Shelter worker at 6:16 p.m. reported a person took two dogs home for a sleep over and never returned the dogs or paid adoption fees. A man at 7:37 p.m. reported odd smoke in the road on Kachemak Drive. Police responded and found all was OK. A woman at 8:47 p.m. reported a bicycle was taken from outside a business. Sept. 23 Police at 12:24 a.m. stopped a 32-year-old woman driving on the Sterling Highway and arrested her for DUI. A person at 1:20 a.m. was seen rummaging through an employees car at the police station. Police arrested a 28-year-old man for second-degree criminal trespassing. Sept. 24 Police at 12:29 a.m. assisted troopers in making arrests on the Sterling Highway. Police arrested a woman for DUI and a man for drug misconduct. Police at 5:58 a.m. went to the report of an unattended death of an 80-year-old man at a Mariner Drive home. A person at 2:32 p.m. made a 911 call reporting seeing a handcuffed man with two other men not in uniform at a Ben Walters Lane address. An officer was advised and all was OK. A caller at 4:49 p.m. reported seeing two eagles fighting on the ground at a Bartlett Street address. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Police at 9:27 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers with a traffic stop and giving field sobriety tests on Main Street. Sept. 25 Police at 10:30 a.m. assisted troopers with an investigation. A woman at 3:05 p.m. reported keys were taken from inside her car parked on Bay Avenue. A woman at 3:40 p.m. came by the police station and asked for help from police regarding her teenage son. Police offered the woman options. A person at 5:29 p.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded and resolved the disturbance. A caller at 10:45 p.m. complained of loud noise from a Skagit Circle house. Police contacted the occupant who agreed to keep the music down. Sept. 26 A woman at 5:01 a.m. reported a domestic dispute and asked for a man to be removed from her home. The caller later changed her mind about having the man removed.
