Information about fire, police and troopers is taken from public records consisting of logbooks and press releases

Sept. 13

Troopers summonsed a 68-year-old Voznesenka man for passing a school bus on East End Road near Lusky Lane while it was stopped with red lights flashing and the stop arm up.

Sept. 14

Homer Fish and Wildlife Protection troopers cited a 51-year-old Homer man for taking a sub-legal moose.

Sept. 15

Troopers at 9:40 p.m. summonsed a 19-year-old Ninilchik man for driving while license suspended after stopping him for an equipment violation.

Sept. 16

Troopers at 11:38 a.m. went to a report of a domestic disturbance in Nikolaevsk. They allege that a 22-year-old Nikolaevsk man assaulted his wife, prevented her from leaving and pulled the phone away when she tried to call the police. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and interfering with the report of domestic violence.

A Ninilchik man reported that his gray 1979 Dodge pickup was stolen from the Deep Creek South campground sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 12:55 p.m.

Sept. 19

The McNeil Canyon Elementary School principal at 1:30 p.m. reported to troopers that three children threatened to bring weapons to the school on the next day, Friday, Sept. 20. Troopers allege that three children attending the school planned to bring guns to the school the next day and attempt to take the school during lunch recess. Criminal charges for terroristic threatening are being filed with Juvenile Intake against all three students involved, and disciplinary action has been taken by the school district as well.

A 12-year-old child at 1:45 p.m. made a 911 call that a 27-year-old woman hit a man and pushed him down the stairs of their Homer residence. Troopers arrested the woman on assault charges.
