Playground project off and running

It takes a community to build a great playground, and the Homer Playground Project wants to recognize all of the individuals and groups who helped with the recent Design Day events and created an enormous amount of momentum for building a new playground at Karen Hornaday Park.

HoPP thanks Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, Church on the Rock Homer, City of Homer, City of Homer Community Recreation, Elks Club, Fat Olives, Fritz Creek General Store, Homer Brewing Company, Homer Chamber of Commerce, Homer Farmers Market Vendors (Jen and Paul Castellani, Dan and Luba Dorvall, Bob Durr, Emily Garrity, Robert Heimbach), Homer United Methodist Church, Kachemak Bay Lions Club, KWAVE, Loopy Lupine Recycled Products, Printworks, Ring of Fire Meadery, Rufaro, Save U More, South Peninsula Hospital, Ulmers Drug and Hardware, The Grog Shop, Timeless Toys, and Two Sisters Bakery.

In addition, countless volunteers stepped up to help, including Sue Baxter, Mike Becker, Lolita Brache, Elysha Chapple, Chris and Krista Etzwiler, Jill Greiner, Mason Groves, Ben Lowe, Jay Marley, Kevin Moyer, Aaron Nash, Ian Nash, Chad O'Keefe, Ben and Mary Park, Tia Petsch, Eric Rozeboom, Larry Shirts, Eric Smith, Thane Steiner, Joy Steward, Caleb Walker, Austen Weatherly, Hunter Weatherly, Aaron Weisser, Daniel Weisser and the whole HoPP crew.
