The Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council recently announced that it received confirmation of its successful application for recertification, a process required under its federal mandate. "This action validates our efforts toward creating wide and strong partnerships between the community, the oil and transport industries, and the regulatory agencies," said John Williams, president of CIRCAC, referring to 14 letters of support submitted on behalf of the advisory group. CIRCAC's mission is to represent the citizens of Cook Inlet in promoting environmentally safe marine transportation and oil facility operations in the inlet.
