Sept. 10

A man at 6:10 p.m. reported someone hit his car while it was parked at the college from 1-2 p.m.

Sept. 11

Police at 12:05 a.m. arrested a 41-year-old man on a warrant for failure to report to jail.

Police at 5:17 a.m. arrested a 19-year-old man for driving while intoxicated and driving while license revoked.

A man at 12:16 a.m. reported his blue 1981 Toyota pickup was stolen from a Spit parking lot the night before. The key had been left in the ashtray.

A woman at 5:44 p.m. reported someone took her Palm Pilot sometime that day.

A woman at 6:39 p.m. reported that while walking on Pioneer Avenue a passenger in a van driving by sprayed her with "a white substance that smelled bad."

A woman at 9:51 p.m. requested information about a problem with tenants smoking marijuana in her building.

Sept. 12

Police at 1:40 a.m. provided transportation for an intoxicated woman.

Police at 11:58 a.m. received two 911 calls regarding a domestic disturbance on the Spit.

A woman at 3:53 p.m. made a 911 call of property stolen while she was at Eagle Quality Center.

Police at 4:59 p.m. received a report of a suicide attempt.

Sept. 13

A caller at 12:15 a.m. reported hearing gunshots from the beach on Mud Bay. Police could not locate the source.

A woman at 12:38 p.m. reported seeing kids smoking cigarettes and marijuana on the high school grounds near the police department.

A man at 2:45 p.m. reported his East End Road neighbor harassed him with an annoying sign.

A man at 5:05 p.m. reported his East End Road neighbors put up obscene signs on their property. Police determined the matter to be a civil dispute.

A 911 called at 6:02 p.m. said "football field ASAP" and hung up. Police went to the high school and found a player with head injuries. The boy was taken to the hospital.

A woman at 8:55 p.m. reported neighbors tearing up her East End Road yard. Police arrested a 39-year-old man for trespassing and criminal mischief, a 37-year-old woman for assault on a police officer and a female juvenile for assault on an officer, interfering with an arrest and minor consuming alcohol.

Sept. 14

Police at 1:55 a.m. received a report of two men fighting inside a Pioneer Avenue bar who went outside to fight.

A man at 12:14 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a suicidal man at the Homer harbor.

A man at 12:40 p.m. reported someone stole items from and vandalized a boat in dry dock on the Spit.

Police at 9:07 p.m. stopped a 48-year-old man in a 1986 GMC pickup on Ocean Drive for speeding and summonsed him for driving while license suspended.

Sept. 15

Police at 1:37 a.m. received an anonymous report of dogs barking in the Pennock Street and Beluga Circle area.

Police at 4:29 a.m. stopped a 49-year-old man driving a 1997 Dodge pickup for having expired registration. They arrested him for DWI and refusal to take a breathalyzer test.

A woman at 11:47 a.m. made a "report every drunk driver immediately" complaint of a man in a white sedan driving erratically on East End Road. Police stopped an 18-year-old man and arrested him for DWI, eluding and evading an officer and minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol.

A man a 3:30 p.m. reporting losing in Deep Creek, while fishing, his wallet containing cash, airline tickets and identification. The wallet was later found and returned.

A woman at 4:18 p.m. reported hearing two gunshots in the Klondike Avenue area. Police contacted the woman's neighbors, who said the noise came from a vehicle backfiring. Police issued a citation for operating a vehicle with expired registration.

A man at 7:02 p.m. reported a fight in progress at the Bishop's Beach parking lot. Police responded and found the fight to be "mutual combat."

A woman at 9:30 p.m. reported her son hadn't been home since 3 p.m. after he got angry and left.

A woman at 11:15 p.m. reported a bear in the garbage on the porch of an East Hill Road home. Police could not locate the bear.

Police at 11:48 p.m. contacted three juveniles who placed traffic cones in the road near the Sterling Highway and Poopdeck Street. Police removed the cones and warned the juveniles for criminal mischief.

Sept. 16

Police at 12:16 a.m. arrested a 42-year-old man on East End Road near East Hill Road for DWI and refusal to take a breath test.

Police at 3:05 a.m. received a 911 call with an open line and static. They went to Dewberry Lane to investigate and found the resident OK. She had a problem with her phone line.

Sept. 17

Police at 12:23 a.m. made a routine traffic stop at the Bypass and Heath Street for a 20-year-old man driving a 1979 Dodge pickup. Police found the vehicle to be stolen and arrested the man for felony vehicle theft and driving without a license. The passengers were charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
