Plastic bags; American values?

Judging by last weeks letters, its time to stock up on ammo and defend ourselves from the Homer City Council. Well, I would like to say thanks to the council for taking action to begin the process of change. Among the irate responses (besides labeling our elected leaders Taliban) were that bugs and diseases lurk in paper bags, and since theres other plastic problems like fishing line we shouldnt single out bags ... and that the forces of tyranny should be flogged. Yep, that sounds like America today.

Love it or leave it?

No thanks, I think Ill stay and keep working for the original values of our nation and our community.

And part of that is keeping our nest clean.
