Sept. 2 A person at 10:49 p.m. reported an unknown person threw rocks onto a boat in the harbor. A person at 11:36 p.m. reported people in a car camping illegally on Bishops Beach. Police responded and the people left the beach. Sept. 3 A person at 1:34 a.m. made a 911 call of possible domestic violence at a Grubstake Avenue home. Police arrested a 51-year-old man on a probation violation and took at 59-year-old woman into protective custody. A woman at 4:48 p.m. turned in a found drivers license. Police contacted the owner who retrieved the license. Police at 11:16 p.m. stopped a 52-year-old woman driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested her for failure to comply with a required ignition interlock device. Sept. 4 A person at 2:31 p.m. made a 911 call of cars in the prohibited area of Bishops Beach. Police responded and told the drivers to move from the area. A man at 5:01 p.m. reported a downed tree across the road on Wright Street. Police notified Public Works. A caller at 5:04 p.m. reported the theft of a large trampoline from a Poppy Circle yard. A caller at 5:04 p.m. reported a power line down at Homer Middle School. A caller at 6:15 p.m. reported a fight in progress on Main Street. A woman at 6:56 p.m. reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing electrical arcing on West Hill Road. Police notified Homer Electric Association. A U.S. Coast Guard official at 11:45 p.m. asked for help in finding the location of fired flares in the East End Road area. Sept. 5 A woman at 11:05 a.m. reported a possible case of identity theft. A person at 2:30 p.m. reported embezzlement at a Spit address. A person at 7:54 p.m. reported a man wrecked his bicycle on Pioneer Avenue. The man refused emergency medical assistance. Sept. 6 A man at 5:55 p.m. reported someone going through personal property inside a Latham Lane home. A woman at 9:58 p.m. reported a man violating a restraining order. A woman at 11:37 p.m. reported an unknown person knocking on her door. Police responded but could not find anything suspicious. Sept. 7 A man at 8:20 a.m. reported someone stole two gas cans from a Spit address. A caller at 11:43 a.m. reported people trespassing at a Lakeshore Drive address. A caller at noon reported a Zodiac boat in the Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon. Police and a harbor officer responded. A man at 3:20 p.m. reported property stolen from a Spit address. An employee at a Lake Street business at 3:34 p.m. reported receiving a bad check. A woman at 4 p.m. reported a theft from a boat. A man at 6:40 p.m. reported customers complained of people drinking in a car at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded but could not find any drinkers. Police at 10:13 p.m. issued a summons to a 31-year-old woman for driving while license suspended. Sept. 8 A caller at 12:41 p.m. reported a car in a ditch on Greatland Street. A man at 12:53 p.m. reported a car crash with damage on Pennock Street and East End Road. A caller at 3:10 p.m. reported a car crash with damage on Lake Street. A caller at 3:20 p.m. reported three people skateboarding at the airport. A caller at 3:31 p.m. reported possible smoke in the Lake Street area. Police could not find any smoke or fire. A woman at 5:38 p.m. reported finding a pistol in the Ocean Drive Loop area. Police at 8:11 p.m. issued a summons to an 18-year-old man for not having car insurance. Police at 10:32 p.m. issued a summons to a 30-year-old man for not having a valid operators license. Police at 10:48 p.m. contacted young people playing basketball with loud music at a Fairview Avenue address. Police asked the people to quiet down. Police at 11:09 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers with an arrest at Mile 1 East End Road. Sept. 9 A woman at 12:09 a.m. asked police to check on her husband who was possibly at a Spit campground. Troopers also checked on an Anchor Point residence where the man also might be staying. Police could not find the man. A woman at 1:17 a.m. reported another woman stole several items from her motorhome parked on Ocean Drive. Police contacted the suspect at an apartment complex and arrested the 22-year-old woman for second-degree theft. Police later arrested the woman on a warrant for failure to appear in court. A man at 10:55 a.m. turned in a cell phone found on Bishops Beach. A caller at 4:44 p.m. reported possible theft of items from outside a Pioneer Avenue business. A caller at 5:43 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman acting erratically at a Highland Street address. Police took the woman to a medical facility. A health care provider at 8:29 p.m. asked for police help with a disruptive patient at a Bartlett Street clinic. Police responded. Sept. 10 A caller at 1:50 a.m. reported a drunk man with swords walking around a local hotel. Police responded. Police at 3:06 a.m. assisted troopers with an abandoned 911 call on the Spit. Police found an unsecure door at a condominium and secured it. A security company at 6:04 a.m. reported people trespassing in a secure area on Freight Dock Road. Police responded but could not locate the suspect.
