Pet of the Week
Jerry Lee wasn't at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, but some of his comrades were. Amidst all the human drama were the heroics of the search-and-rescue dogs, many of them German shepherds. These dogs are smart, easy to train and extremely responsive. Having recently been abandoned, Jerry Lee is a 4-year-old purebred German shepherd looking for a hero of his own to rescue him from the shelter.
