The Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced Tuesday that the Fishing Hole will open to snagging beginning at noon on Friday, allowing anglers a better shot at cleaning out the remaining silver salmon there.
The six-fish limit remains in effect.
Fish and Game also reminded anglers that the Fishing Hole might still contain a few king salmon. Any harvested kings over 20 inches in length must be immediately recorded on the back of the angler's fishing license.
Snagging will be legal through Dec. 31.
