Library support helpful
I would like to thank all the sponsors, volunteers and library personnel who helped make the Summer Reading Program at the Homer Public Library the great success that it was. A very special thanks goes to the Friends of the Library for their many years of support of this program. The almost 200 children who participated spent eight weeks reading about the peoples of the world and enjoyed weekly activities from a variety of countries.

The final party included activities and all-you-can-eat ice cream. A good time was had by all.

Many local businesses and service organizations donated funds, incentives and prizes. Thanks to their generosity, no child left the ice cream party empty-handed. Please stop by the library to see the bulletin board dedicated to our truly awesome sponsors and absolutely amazing volunteers. Without this support, our summer program would not happen.

Thank you.

Jolee Ellis, coordinator, Homer Public Library Summer Reading Program
