Aug. 20

Alaska State Troopers at 8:29 p.m. stopped a 58-year-old Ninilchik woman on Oilwell Road in Ninilchik for a traffic violation. They arrested her for DUI.

Aug. 27

Troopers at 12:02 a.m. stopped an 18-year-old Homer woman on the Sterling Highway for failure to use her turn signal. They cited her for driving in violation of her instructional permit.

Aug. 28

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 40-year-old Soldotna man for possessing undersize tanner crab less than 5.5 inches wide.

Aug. 29

Troopers at 2:30 p.m. contacted a 45-year-old Homer man in Homer and arrested him on a warrant for violating the terms of a restraining order.

Aug. 30

Troopers at 5:10 p.m. received a report of problems at a Kachemak City home. Troopers investigated and determined over the summer a window had been broken, property taken and a door damaged. Suspects have been identified.

Wildlife troopers cited a 42-year-old Kenai man for taking a sublegal moose near Caribou Lake. Troopers seized the moose and antlers.

Sept. 2

Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 10:24 p.m. stopped the driver of a 2004 Kia for speeding near Mile 41 Sterling Highway. Troopers cited the driver, a 31-year-old Homer woman, for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

Troopers at 3:57 p.m. assisted EMTs at an address near Mile 163 Sterling Highway. A 35-year-old man refused medical help. Following an investigation, troopers charged and arrested the man for felony DUI, driving while license revoked and driving with limitations.

Sept. 2

Troopers at 3:27 p.m. stopped a 26-year-old man driving a Chevrolet pickup for speeding near Mile 41 Sterling Highway. Troopers arrested the man on a warrant for failure to appear in court on an original charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

Sept. 3

Troopers at 5:15 p.m. went to a car crash near Mile 15 East End Road. An investigation alleged a man drove his car off the road and hit a house. Troopers arrested a 65-year-old Homer man for DUI.

Sept. 5

Troopers at 4 p.m. contacted a 55-year-old Anchor Point man regarding a theft investigation. Troopers allege the man came into possession of a stolen chainsaw worth $900 and that he pawned it a local pawn shop. Troopers arrested the man for second-degree theft and theft by receiving.
