Pfc. David K. Caffroy
David Kyle Caffroy and Joseph L. Todd graduated Aug. 23 from 13 weeks of U.S. Marine basic training, San Diego, Calif., and were promoted to Private First Class. Pfc. Caffroy has been assigned to Camp Pendleton, Calif. for six weeks of training at infantry school. Caffroy plans to make a career in the Marines. Caffroy is a 2002 Homer High School graduate, the son of Richie and Tina Caffroy and brother of Dan Caffroy, Anchor Point, and the grandson of Gene and Vera Smiley, Seattle, and Gerry and Marion Caffroy, Ravensdale, Wash.
Pfc. Joseph L. Todd
Pfc. Todd excelled in markmanship and physical fitness. He was ranked "expert" in rifle qualifications and made among the highest scores among his platoon of 63 recruits in fitness. He is a Homer High School graduate and the son of Ron and Theresa Todd of Anchor Point.
