On to new adventures in Hawaii

Aloha, Everyone. Kevin and I are so excited for Kathy Kysar and her unbeatable staff to carry on the traditions of the Fresh Sourdough Express Bakery & Caf. We have gotten to know Kathy over the past eight months and know she is the right person to carry this delicious business. Kathy brings talent, personality, passion, her own special touch and dedication to the business. She also brings year-round commitment, amazing gluten-free products and lots of fun moving forward.

We are so grateful to all our customers who have made the Fresh Sourdough Express possible for the past 30 years. If not for you we would not be here. We started the business with $43, a $10,000 loan from my reluctant father, passion and, most important, our customers input and support.

We are so appreciative to all the amazing staff that ever worked with us and are grateful to have touched so many lives in Homer and around the world, sharing peace and love. Our intention has always been to help make the world and our community a better place to live.

We have seen first-hand that supporting local and organic production of food is more environmentally responsible and that employing so many local people does contribute to a healthier and stronger community and economy.

We love and appreciate you, Homer, the beauty and community.

We carry forward wonderful memories, a few extra pounds and lots of joy. We hope if you are ever on the Big Island of Hawaii you will give us a call and deliver us a loaf of that great sourdough bread. We will have the soup on.

Blessings and aloha,

Donna and Kevin Maltz
