Troopers at 5:15 a.m. Aug. 20 responded to a disturbance at the Ninilchik State Fairgrounds. Investigation revealed Brandi Cornell, 31 of Soldotna, physically assaulted a family member. Cornell was arrested and remanded to Homer jail without bail.

Troopers on Aug. 18 issued a summons to Charles D. Walkden, 57, of Homer to appear in court for operating a commercial fishing net from the F/V June Bug while in closed water the day before.
