Rufus the wire-haired terrier is inquisitive, happy, hungry, a little shy, playful, loving and drop-dead cute. He's from a litter of pups 4 1/2 months old and just rarin' to go.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for information.
