Aug. 14

Alaska State Troopers at 4:02 p.m. Aug. 13 took a report that a 1999 Chevrolet was stolen from the Soldotna area. On Aug. 14, Anchorage Police found the car and arrested a Homer man for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Aug. 20

Troopers at 12:13 p.m. went to a car crash near Mile 167 Sterling Highway near Homer. Troopers allege a 40-year-old Homer man driving north in a Ford Focus rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala driven by a 36-year-old German man as he stopped and tried to turn left. All involved wore seatbelts and there were no injuries.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to a 61-year-old Ninilchik man for commercial fishing with a drift gill net in closed waters in upper Cook Inlet.
