Aug. 13

A caller at 10:12 p.m. reported a drunk woman caused a disturbance on Fairview Avenue. Police responded and found all was OK.

A man at 10:19 p.m. reported continuous noise from dogs in the Crittenden Drive area.

A woman at 10:41 p.m. reported finding her door ajar and hearing noises. Police did a check of the area and found all OK.

Aug. 14

A woman at 2 a.m. reported a man harassed her.

A school employee at 7:42 a.m. reported someone vandalized with spray paint the front entry of West Homer Elementary School.

A person at 8:41 a.m. made a 911 call that a man and woman had been screaming at each for the past hour at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and separated the parties, but determined no crime or assault had occurred.

A man at 10 a.m. reported another man phoned him with a disturbing request.

A caller at 11:04 a.m. reported a problem with cable and Internet service ordered and canceled by a friend.

A caller at 12:54 p.m. reported being falsely accused of theft by a business.

Several people at 1:09 p.m. made a report of a drunk man down on the side of the road on the Spit near Mariner Park. Police and EMTs responded. The man refused transportation.

A caller at 1:53 p.m. reported a property line and trespassing dispute in the Cozy Cove Drive area.

A woman at 2 p.m. reported finding a car she bought but that her ex-husband had taken from her.

A caller at 2:17 p.m. reported a man at a Bunnell Avenue business who owed a debt for prior credit card misuse. Police investigated and determined the suspect also was a fugitive from justice.

A man at 2:52 p.m. reported finding bloody syringes in the Main Street area. Police collected and disposed of a syringe.

A property management company at 3 p.m. reported it would be doing bat mitigation at an Aspen Lane rental home that night.

A man at 5:43 p.m. reported a person selling prescription drugs.

A woman at 5:58 p.m. reported seeing a man hit another woman twice on Bunnell Avenue. Police could not find the man or woman.

A caller at 11:25 p.m. reported a man causing a disturbance who refused to leave a Pioneer Avenue bar. Police responded and arrested a 37-year-old man for criminal trespass.

Aug. 15

A caller at 3 a.m. reported a fight in progress and a man down on Pioneer Avenue. Police and EMTs responded. The parties denied fighting and a man refused medical treatment.

A caller at noon reported the possible theft of a religious icon from a local church.

A trail worker at noon delivered a small bicycle found on the Beluga Slough trail.

A caller at 12:23 p.m. reported a man urinating in the road near the Karen Hornaday Park playground.

A U.S. Coast Guard official at 9:33 a.m. reported a man impersonating a Coast Guard officer on the Spit.

A woman at 5:01 p.m. reported she had not heard from her Homer brother in many years. She asked police to be on the lookout for him and contact her if he was found.

Police at 5:17 p.m. assisted EMTs with a prisoner emergency at the Homer Jail.

Police at 5:34 p.m. guarded a prisoner taken to the hospital.

A caller at 6:45 p.m. reported an aggressive driver tailgating, swerving and flapping arms on East Hill Road.

Aug. 16

A man at 9:46 a.m. reported the threat of a kidnapping made to him.

A caller at 4:36 p.m. reported a man and woman arguing on Ben Walters Lane with the man making aggressive gestures at the woman. Police responded and gave the woman a ride to a safe place.

A man at 4:45 p.m. reported the possible sighting of a wanted subject on Pioneer Avenue. Police responded. The sighting was unfounded.

A caller at 5:45 p.m. reported a fugitive in the Homer area. Police checked a nationwide fugitive database and determined the report was unfounded.

A driver at 11:42 p.m. flagged down an office on Pioneer Avenue. Police assisted the driver with a flat tire.

Aug. 17

A person at 2:37 a.m. made a 911 call of items missing from a campsite at Karen Hornaday Park.

A man at 10:30 a.m. reported he lost his wallet and there had been unauthorized use of his credit card.

A woman at 12:22 p.m. reported losing her iPhone. The phone was later found and returned to the woman.

A woman at 12:56 p.m. reported losing her backpack.

A man at 2:42 p.m. came to the police station and turned in a firearm for safekeeping.

A caller at 3:36 p.m. reported finding a firearm in the ladies restroom of a Spit business.

Aug. 18

Police at 1:59 a.m. issued a summons to a 23-year-old woman for leaving the scene of an accident on the Spit.

A caller at 9:45 a.m. reported a nude man bathing in the ocean off the Spit.

A caller at 10:54 a.m. reported cars parked in the bike line on Ocean Drive.

A man at 12:15 p.m. reported a shoplifter left a Lake Street business. Police contacted a suspect and issued a summons for theft to a 22-year-old woman.

A man at 2:01 p.m. reported a drunk woman entered a Klondike Avenue home and argued with a resident. Police responded and issued the drunk woman a trespass notice.
