Liz Rohlich and Sascha Petersen




Liz Rohlich and Sascha Petersen were married in Seattle on July 5. Sascha's cousin Jake Bell was best man and Lauren Bell was a bridesmaid. Liz's brothers, Jug and John Rohlich, were groomsmen and her sister-in-law, Jamie Rohlich, and best friend, Nicole Dieterichs, were her maids of honor. Her nieces, Kaya and Rylan, were flower girls and her nephew, Addison, was ring bearer.


 

Liz is the daughter of Bernice and Gerry Rohlich of McKinney, Tex. and the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Rohlich. Sascha's parents are Lance and Barb Petersen and he is the grandson of Jean McMaster and the nephew of MaryLou Kelsey & Bill Bell, all of Homer.

Sascha graduated from Homer High in 1994; Pomona College in California in 1998; and in 2007, received his Masters at UW in Marine Affairs and Policy. He is now working in the newly created Climate Protection Program for the City of Austin.

Liz graduated from Sherman High School in 1994 in Sherman Tex. and from the University of Texas in 1994. She spent two years in the Peace Corps in Bolivia. She is a highly qualified bi-lingual elementary school teacher. She is now in her final year of graduate school in Nursing for her degree as a Clinical Specialist at UT. They are presently living in Austin, Tex.

There will be a celebration of Sascha & Liz's marriage on Sept. 1, from 2-5p.m. at the Petersen home on Ocean Drive Loop, (start at Beluga Lake Lodge & follow the balloons.) No gifts. Snacks and drinks. Call 235-7333 for more information.
