SPH welcomes new orthopedic surgeon to town

South Peninsula Hospital announces the opening of South Peninsula Orthopedics and welcomes Dr. Brent M. Adcox to the community. An open house for Dr. Adcox and South Peninsula Orthopedics will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 27 at his offices at 4201 Bartlett St., Suite 201, in the Kachemak Professional Building, next to Kachemak Bay Medical Clinic. Visitors can meet Dr. Adcox and his family, tour the clinic and enter to win prizes. The grand prize is a free consultation with Dr. Adcox.

Dr. Adcox, his wife and two young children moved to Homer from Texas, where he practiced orthopedics for almost 10 years. He received his bachelor and master of science in biology from Texas Tech University and earned his doctor of medicine degree at the University of Texas Medical School. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center and completed his spine fellowship at South Texas Spinal Clinic, where he continued on as medical staff for several years.

Dr. Adcox practices full time in Homer and offers a range of services, including sports medicine, orthopedic surgeries, total joint replacements and care of cervical and lumbar spinal disorders. South Peninsula Orthopedics is open Monday through Friday. For more information, call 235-0310.
