Borough, city candidates make it official




With the candidate-filing period for the Oct. 2 municipal election having closed at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, the following individuals from the southern Kenai Peninsula made official their interest in running for office.

Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly

District 9 – South Peninsula, three-year term:

    Mako Haggerty of Homer, incumbent

    Jesse R. Clutts of Anchor Point

Kenai Peninsula Borough School Board

District 8 – Homer, three-year term:

    Elizabeth A. "Liz" Downing, incumbent

    Mike Illg

Anchor Point Fire and Emergency Medical Service Area Board:

Seat B, one-year term:

    Jonathan "Jon" Marsh, incumbent

Seat C , three-year term:

    Reuben Sherwood, incumbent

Seat D, three-year term:

    Erica J. Steven, incumbent

Seat E, two-year term:

    No candidates

Kachemak Emergency Service Area Board

Seat B, three-year term:

    No candidates

Seldovia Recreational Service Area
