Event sparks imaginations

Organized by youth, TEDxYouth@Homers event July 26, Lets Play, was a resounding success. Held at Mariner Theatre, with more than 150 attendees, our TEDx event brought together the ideas of authors, intuition masters, LA rappers, film directors, and a youth speaker to spark discussion, and ideas among attendees and speakers alike.

None of this could have happened without our dedicated team of volunteers, especially Kat Haber and Julie Davis, and all of our generous sponsors whose help made this a big, fun, and playful event.

Thank you Era Alaska, SpitwSpots, Live in Wonder, Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Haber Vision, Best Western Bidarka Inn, Spruce Acre Cabins, Jane Little Family Endowment Fund and Ashley J. Logan Fund from the Homer Foundation, Beluga Lake Lodge, Adventure Alaska Car Rental, Homer Rotary Club, Sourdough Express, Homer Council on the Arts, Ocean Shores, Homer Real Estate, Alaska Wildland Adventures, Nomar, Homer Chamber of Commerce, Bay Avenue Inn, Save U More, Captains Coffee, A Memorable Experience Bed and Breakfast, and the Homer Public Library.

Thank you all for making this years event the best yet. See you next year.
