Aug. 7 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited two fishermen for failing to release a salmon hooked elsewhere than in the mouth caught on the Moose River, including a 54-year-old Stillwater, Minn., man, and a 55-year-old Homer man. Bail was set for $130 for the Minnesota man for taking one salmon and $150 for the Homer man for taking two salmon. Aug. 9 Wildlife troopers cited an 18-year-old Homer man for commercial drift gillnet fishing in closed waters after he was alleged to have been seen fishing in the channel of the Kustatan River.
