Pet of the Week

Suzette and her puppies
A nice foster family took in sweet Suzette while she raised her six puppies. She's a small 30-pound dog with a slight underbite, but her 7-week-old pups picked up some border collie traits from their dad. They're white and black with a white ring the neck. The pups were raised by a family with kids and have been well socialized. Her foster parents loved the pups so much they took one. Suzette and her kids need good homes, though, and are ready to be adopted.

If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Homer Animal Shelter on the Homer Bypass across from the post office. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 235-3141, or e-mail, or visit the shelter on the Internet at
