EMTs at 2:34 p.m. went to South Peninsula Hospital to transport a 15-year-old girl and a medevac team to the airport.
Aug. 6
EMTs at 9:35 a.m. went to Heath Street and the Sterling Highway for a 39-year-old woman with a medical emergency. They treated and transported her to the hospital.
Aug. 7
Firefighters at 8:28 a.m. went to Thurston Canyon for a report of heavy smoke. They found a property owner burning scrap lumber in a burn barrel.
Aug. 8
EMTs at 4:36 p.m. went to the Port Graham clinic to transport a medevac team and a 44-year-old woman with a medical emergency to the hospital.
Aug. 9
Firefighters at 9:31 a.m. went to Kachemak Drive for a solvent spill on the road. Firefighters, the Homer police and the Alaska Department of Transportation isolated and cleaned up the spill.
Firefighters at 6:10 p.m. went to a vehicle fire near West Hill Road and the Sterling Highway. They put out the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
Aug. 10
Firefighters at 8:28 p.m. went to a trailer leaking propane at the Fishing Hole on the Spit. They found the trailer's owner had tightened the valve and stopped the leak.
