Homer Fire
Information about fire, police and troopers is taken from public records consisting of logbooks and press releases.

July 30

EMTs at 9:28 a.m. went to Eagle Quality Center for a 53-year-old woman who fell. They treated and transported her to the hospital.

July 31

Firefighters at 3:16 p.m. went to Eagle Lake Road near Mile 14 East End Road for a wildlands fire in timber caused by a lightning strike. Firefighters found a 5-acre fire with no road access. Alaska Division of Forestry responded with helicopters and air tankers. Homer firefighters set up structure protection and a command post. Air support contained the fire and Homer turned it over to Forestry.

Firefighters at 8:13 p.m. went to a grass fire on Waddell Loop Road. They put out a smoldering 6-by-6-foot fire in the duff. The cause remains under investigation.
