The bride is the daughter of Gary and Mona Ihly of Lynnwood, Wash. and the late Carla Blakesely, who died last April. She is the mother of Andrea Sheesley of Valdez, Ed Miller of Fairbanks and Joshua and Sarah Miller of Homer and the grandmother of Jason, Travis, Jeremiah, Iverson, Zofia and Kayleigh Julieanne.

The groom is the son of Del and Betty Schneider of Brownsville, Calif. The couple are longtime Alaskans and met two-and-a-half years ago while working in Barrow. They now live in Homer "and have no plans to leave -- ever!"
