Lois M. Fisher


Former Homer resident Lois M. Fisher, 81, died July 18 at home in Constantine, Mich., after a brief illness. Services and interment were in Constantine.

Mrs. Fisher was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Union, Mich., and graduated in 1938 from Bristol High School. On Feb. 1, 1942, she married William B. Fisher in Howe, Mich. Mrs. Fisher worked for 13 years at Continental Can Co. in Three Rivers, retiring in 1975, then worked for six years at Mr. Donut in Three Rivers.

Her family said, "She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, gardening and grandkids, whom she delighted with her cinnamon rolls, pancakes and oatmeal cookies. Everyone who knew her was impacted by her generous love and her touching commitment to her husband of 60 years."

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters Donna Schrock, Esther Print and Peg Lafata; son Fred Fisher; daughter-in-law Sally Fisher; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Marion Wolkins and sister Inez Wolkins.

Preceding her in death were son Ken Fisher and grand-daughter Dayna Print.
