Homer's Herndon Construction is installing the pipes at the Forest Glen site and at the Harrington Heights subdivision as part of the Homer Accelerated Water and Sewer program, said Public Works Director Carey Meyer.

North Star Paving and Construction of Kenai is completing similar projects along West Lake Shore Drive and in Mariner Village. Affected property owners will split the cost with the city, Meyer said. Work is expected to be completed by fall.
