Troy Laky and Catherine Imlay

Troy Laky of Phoenix, Ariz., and Catherine Imlay of Homer were married July 14, 2012, in Happy Valley. John Cox, a Republican candidate for Alaskas U.S. congressional seat, officiated the union. Family members from across the world came to celebrate.

The couples first dance was ironically to Come Rain, or Come Shine by Frank Sinatra. It was sunny until after the ceremony, when it then proceeded to downpour.

Catherine is the daughter of Dave and Diana Imlay, residents of Homer, and granddaughter of Earl and Kay Hays, longtime residents of Happy Valley. Troy is the son of Alex Laky of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Peggy Fortner of Summerfield, Fla. The couple currently make their home in Phoenix.
