Anchorage resident Mr. Jack Andrew Harshfield, 35, died unexpectedly in Anchorage on July 24, 2012.

A celebration of life was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory located at 1800 Dare Ave. in Anchorage.

Jack was born in Enterprise, Ore., on June 16, 1977, to Debora and Jack Harshfield. Jack moved to Alaska in 1985 and lived in Homer, Anchor Point, Ugashik and Anchorage. He became a commercial fisherman at the age of 15 and worked as a welder in construction.

Jack was an amazing free spirit. His smile lit up the entire room, his family said. He was quick witted and had a comeback for anything. He was loved by all who knew him. Theres nothing that Jack would not have done to help others and he will be missed deeply.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Harshfield, and his grandfather, Arthur Condardy Sr.

He is survived by his mother Debbie Harshfield of Anchorage; his dad Art Wolnowsky of Ugashik; sister Kristi Downing of Rio Rancho, N.M.; brothers Geroge Wolnowsky of Port Orchard, Wash., Steve Wolnowsky of Tacoma, Wash.; and his beloved children Wyatt and Brittney Harshfield of Anchor Point.

Arrangements were by Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory.
