Even though an afternoon rain shower fell on the Homer Street Faire last Saturday, it didn't dampen spirits of people attending the annual outdoor arts, crafts and music festival on Hazel Avenue. Children pulled on slickers and kept on playing at the Kachemak Kids booth. Music from rock to folk to African marimba entertained crowds. People lined up for warm and festive food at many booths. When the rain came, well-prepared residents and visitors opened up umbrellas, put on parkas and kept enjoying the fair.
