Jeremiah is the son of Chris and Jim Haga of Anchor Point and the grandson of Alma Haga of Anchor Point and the late Virl Haga.

Jeremiah proposed to Emily Feb. 15 in Fairbanks. "And of course I accepted," she said. After their marriage, they plan to return to Fairbanks, where Emily will continue to work toward her accounting degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In the summer of 2003 the couple plans to move to Eugene, Ore., where Jeremiah will attend a heavy equipment operator school. "We love each other very much," they write, "and will live happily ever after."
