July 11

EMTs and rescue workers at 1:13 a.m. went to Kachemak Drive for a single-vehicle accident. They treated and transported the driver, a 26-year-old man, to the hospital.

Firefighters at 8 p.m. went to behind the Down East Saloon on East End Road for a brush fire and found a 2-by-2-foot fire had already been put out by bystanders. The cause remains under investigation.
