Food Pantry needs ongoing
We have several faithful volunteers who we count as priceless. They have served faithfully for these many years on the board and as hard-working volunteers on Mondays and other days. Thanks go to Gloria and Floyd Gonzales, Donnie Campbell, Juanita Cox, Connie Creal, Judy Cousins, Maxine Goshorn, Winnie Hatfield, Helen Morawitz and Pastor Dan Lush. Without them, our service to the community would have little effect.

Please join us for our fund-raiser, 11-3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, in the parking lot of the Methodist Church. We will have several children's games with prizes and serve kid-friendly food. The Aid Association to Lutherans will match the funds that we earn that day. We hope you join us.

We would like to thank these private food donors for their help and kindness: Amy Thompson, Lee Martin, Patty Woz and Shirley Merriman.

June distribution numbers were 212 food boxes provided to 281 adults and 137 children. We served 57 disabled people and 19 veterans. Without your help we would be hard pressed to help those in need.

There are many ways you can help us: Grow a row in your garden for the Food Pantry this summer. Collect canned and dry goods (i.e., canned tomatoes and spaghetti noodles). Become a donor. Bring us pint-size containers, egg cartons, Ziploc bags (sandwich and quart sizes) and 16-ounce bottles. When you clean your freezers this summer to put in this year's fish, we would be glad to get the older fish. Our community's support is vital to the operating of the Food Pantry. We send a hearty thanks to all.
