Writers' supporters thanked
The Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College would like to greatly thank the following local businesses and agencies for providing monetary support toward making our first Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference such a major success: Subway of Homer, Land's End Resort, the Homer Foundation, First National Bank of Alaska, Wells Fargo Bank, the Homer Bookstore, Bodett & Co., Pratt Museum, Friends of the Homer Public Library, Bunnell Street Gallery Board of Directors and the Homer Council on the Arts.

By supporting such a significant gathering in the literary arts of over 170 people that has now earned national and state recognition, you and others too numerous to list here have expanded the community's role as a major center of the literary arts in Alaska. You heightened the role of the arts in our local economy and helped strengthen our growing community of local writers and its ties to a more global community by helping provide an opportunity for students, professional writers, literary enthusiasts and aspiring writers to meet with one another and numerous authors to improve their writing skills as well as share the process and art of writing.
