Alaska State Troopers close Sterling Highway

An incident in the Happy Valley area caused Alaska State Troopers to stop traffic on the Sterling Highway from approximately Mile 141 to Mile 147 Sunday evening. Megan Peters, information officer for the Department of Public Safety, said a trooper investigation was in progress, but as of 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Peters was unable to confirm when the highway would be reopened.
