Homer Alaska - Letters

Hospice of Homer recently held a picnic potluck and training for our volunteers. The event was a great success the day was sunny, the food was tasty and the training was informative.

Thanks goes to a number of people and businesses: Tom Irons and Jeanie Aspen for the use of their lovely home as the site for the gathering; Marilyn McKay, Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska, for providing a thoughtful and instructive overview of Alzheimer's; Safeway for providing the chip, buns and condiments; and Caribou Restaurant for the yummy multi-colored decorated cake.

Last but not least, I want to extend a huge thank you to our big-hearted and generous Hospice of Homer volunteers. The gifts you offer community members through your volunteering is truly amazing and a blessing.
