July 3

A caller at 12:10 a.m. reported a man walking along Main Street who was stumbling and bleeding. Police took the man into protective custody.

Police at 2:53 a.m. contacted two people on the Sterling Highway. They arrested a 23-year-old man on a warrant and issued a summons to a 22-year-old woman for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

A Pioneer Avenue bar employee at 2:28 a.m. reported a woman tried to enter with fake identification.

A caller at 12:10 p.m. made a 911 call of an older woman who appeared to be in distress on Highland Drive. Police determined the older woman was not in distress and was trying to get the caller to stop speeding on a residential street.

Police at 10:11 p.m. contacted a 24-year-old woman driving on Little Fireweed Avenue and issued her a summons for driving while license revoked.

July 4

Police at 12:58 a.m. contacted a 51-year-old man driving on the Homer Spit. They issued him a summons for a driver's license violation and released the car to a licensed driver.

Police at 4:34 p.m. issued a seat belt warning after seeing a woman driving a truck with juveniles in the bed of the truck on Pioneer Avenue.

Police at 10:10 p.m. stopped a 31-year-old man driving on Hazel Avenue and arrested him for driving under the influence, driving while license revoked and not having insurance.

July 5

Police at 12:04 a.m. issued a summons to a 20-year-old man for not having liability insurance after contacting him on the Sterling Highway.

Police at 1:08 a.m. contacted a 33-year-old woman in her van parked on Pioneer Avenue and arrested her for DUI and refusal to submit to a breath test.

Police at 3:08 a.m. stopped a 19-year-old man driving on the Spit and arrested him for DUI, minor consuming alcohol and operating a vehicle after minor consuming alcohol.

A caller at 5:49 a.m. asked police to meet the M/V Tustumena at the ferry dock for a drunk man who refused to stay in his stateroom. Police arrested a 25-year-old man for disorderly conduct and fifth-degree criminal mischief.

A person at 6:32 a.m. made a 911 call of a man with a large knife walking through a yard off Kachemak Way. Police responded.

An employee at 3:44 p.m. reported an inventory discrepancy involving a firearm at a Homer store.

A caller at 9:13 p.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Bayview Avenue area. Police contacted several persons who said they had been shooting off fireworks.

July 6

Police at 2:26 a.m. contacted a 41-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and arrested him for DUI.

A caller at 11:54 a.m. reported a car window broken out while the car was parked over the weekend on the Spit.

A man at 2:45 p.m. reported his children found tanned hides buried in the ground in the Ocean Drive area.

A woman at 3 p.m. reported receiving a forged personal check.

A man at 3:38 p.m. reported he was threatened by another man at the harbor.

A man at 4:44 p.m. reported his Fairview Avenue home was burglarized.

July 7

A caller at 2:20 a.m. reported a disturbance at a campsite in Karen Hornaday Park. Police warned a man for disorderly conduct.

An employee at 11:24 a.m. reported video surveillance at a Lake Street business showed three boys had gotten on the roof.

A man at 3 p.m. reported forged checks.

Police at 8:35 p.m. took a 38-year-old man into custody for violating a restraining order.

A caller at 11:19 p.m. reported a possible juvenile party in the Hillfair Court area. Police responded and determined the partiers were all 21 or older. They advised the people to keep the noise down.

July 8

A man at 10:41 a.m. reported being threatened by another person over a business issue.

A caller at 1:42 p.m. reported vandalism at Jack Gist Park.

A man at 2:30 p.m. asked that construction vehicles be removed from his East End Road property. The man said the vehicle owners did not have permission to park there.

A man at 3:41 p.m. reported items stolen from his a locked shed on White Alder Court.

A caller at 4:40 p.m. reported a woman would not return her dog.

A man at 5:50 p.m. reported items taken from a Lake Street business.

Police at 8:29 p.m. arrested a 33-year-old man on a warrant.

July 9

Police at 2:18 a.m. found two children in the street on Pioneer Avenue. The children were returned to their parents.

Police at 2:55 a.m. stopped a 24-year-old woman driving on the Sterling Highway and arrested her for DUI.

A man at 4:47 a.m. reported two vehicles missing from his Aspen Lane driveway that he suspected were taken by his estranged girlfriend.

A caller at 8:40 p.m. reported a drunk man in his Main Street yard. Police took a 44-year-old man into protective custody.

A man at 9:36 p.m. reported boys on the roof of a Lake Street business. Police responded and released the boys to a parent.

July 10

A person at 12:04 a.m. made a 911 call of a hit-and-run crash on the Spit. Police arrested a 32-year-old man for DUI and reckless endangerment.

A person at 1:13 a.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Waddell Street address. Police responded and arrested a 48-year-old woman for fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

A ferry worker at 11:49 a.m. reported a possible fugitive from justice. Police went to the Spit and arrested a 59-year-old man on an outstanding federal warrant.

A caller at 2:02 p.m. reported the theft of a two-axle trailer loaded with steel and aluminum from a Sterling Highway address.

A caller at 4:50 p.m. reported the theft of a scrimshaw knife from a Spit store.

A woman at 5:43 p.m. made a 911 call of a possibly dead woman at a Cityview Avenue home. Police responded.

A caller at 9:16 p.m. reported a drunk man driving away from Karen Hornaday Park. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 44-year-old man for DUI and marijuana possession.

A caller at 11:42 p.m. reported a drunk man shoplifting at a Sterling Highway store. Police arrested a 24-year-old man for theft by receiving.
