Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to seven medical calls and two fire calls.
July 7
Firefighters at 6:30 p.m. went to a truck fire at a home on Mattox Lane. Homer Police helped put out the fire in the bed of the truck with a hand extinguisher and firefighters completed extinguishing the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
July 10
Firefighters at 12:30 p.m. did a carbon monoxide check of a camper at a Homer residence. They determined a battery on a charger gave off fumes that activated the alarm.
